I’m joining Kate Motaung and my friends at Five Minute Fridays to write on a particular prompt for five minutes. In my effort to re-introduce old hymns to my readers, I like to find a hymn that uses the prompt of the week. This week’s prompt: ENOUGH!
Also linking up with Suzanne Eller and Living Free…. Together! Her prompt: REST
When I heard the prompt of the week, my mind went immediately to this hymn, My Faith Has Found a Resting Place
Oh! On this statement, I can rest my heart and soul.
He died for me… and you.
We were all sin-stained and lost. (Romans 3:23)
But before we even knew Him, He looked down and loved us. (Romans 5:8)
He came down and paid for our debt of sin. (John 3:16-17)
There is a chorus by Ellis J. Crum from the 80’s that says,
We owe Him more than we can ever repay.
There is nothing we can do to pay Him back. Our best deeds are like filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6)
But He took the punishment for our sins upon Himself! (Romans 3:23-25)
He bore the horrible pain and cleansed us from all sin. (1 John 1:9)
And He rose again, defeating death and the grave! (1 Corinthians 15:56-57)
It is enough! Praise God! It is Enough!

Writer/Speaker sharing about how to make it through anything. I married a pastor with two boys who just lost their mom, I homeschooled my own children, led children’s ministries and women’s ministries in the church, and founded and led a homeschool support group. Had to give up much of this due to chronic pain. Like the Insurance, I know a lot because I’ve seen a lot.
