Spiritual Attack Part 3

Lastly, here in our devotion on spiritual attack is Satan’s mental attack against us. His two greatest tools are CONFUSION and PRESSURE.

Satan employs confusion by sending mental attacks. He twists your thoughts, and your perspective in order to bring this confusion. He wants to paralyze and bewilder you. Once you become aware of this tactic you can be on the lookout for these symptoms.

Now that I am very aware of Satan’s tactics I am on alert when I start feeling helpless, hopeless, and bewildered by things going on in my home on things within my country or the world.

Another tool Satan employs is PRESSURE. Pressure is a lead indicator of a demonic plot afoot. Can you think back to times where you felt pressure? The pressure to say something, or do something, perhaps even go along with something you didn’t feel right about?

Satan doesn’t want you to have time to think about things. He wants to pressure you into doing something. He likes to use your emotions against you. God gave us emotions to be able to relate to people, to have care and concern.

In God’s kingdom there is power, not pressure.

James 1:2-8

Trials and Temptations

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

NIV

We all are being tested. I pray that you recognized Satan’s schemes in your life and that you are able to be of clear mind and decision when battling his pressures. God is on your side, he has given you tools to use: bible reading, and prayer. You always have God’s ear!

-Putting on our battle gear together- Satan will be defeated!
