I’m not the Christian I think I am. There are no “good” Christians. The current climate has made me reevaluate where my heart really is. Where my mind really wanders. What words really come out of my mouth. How much time I really put into prayer, reading God’s word, meditating on His words, and then… applying them.
I have a great deal of anger pent up. Frustration has built and it doesn’t take much to bring it out. I don’t know how to go about removing anger/frustration, how to change my thought patterns, and how to elevate my attitude. Maybe you can relate?
I want to BE different. Different in a holy, spiritual sense. I don’t want to be “this” me. Yuck. Tired of her and her “stuff”. Tired of my old patterns, old ways. But how do I get this all changed? It’s pretty ingrained in my brain thought patterns. A well-traveled road.
Satan’s plans are well laid. Strategic. You and I have been watched, tracked, and studied by a spiritual realm that seeks our total destruction. Some may find that statement ridiculous, but I know it’s true. And the longer any of us believes that doesn’t happen or isn’t happening means we get further and further into the snare.
We are running out of time friends. The stakes in eternal life just took a substantial leap. Look around at the various situations going on. Do your homework. This isn’t about a mask, or a virus, or a President.
11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.…the Bible NIV
The Devil is reigning down chaos, dissent, and rebellion. That is what he loves to do. He especially likes division among Christians. Look how easily wearing “masks” divides us. Look how various rising political factions have taken history and are trying to rewrite it, trying to cause division… these are all signs.
We need to be on our knees in prayer for our nation. For our leaders, whether we like them or not- they need our prayers. We need to get in touch with people who are not saved. I do not want to stand before Christ and have him ask me “Why did you say nothing?”
God, we pray for hearts that are soft for you and lost people. We pray for humbleness, patience, and kindness. God, let us be less concerned with our paycheck, the next technology, our vacation coming up, and let eternity so burn in our hearts for others that we can’t go to bed with praying or seeking that person out.
