The Israelites were blessed and flourishing in number, and Pharaoh is quite concerned with them having the potential to take over Egypt. So, he says “Come, we must deal shrewdly with them…”. As I am reading through Exodus, I became particularly interested in the Israelites bondage. I began to wonder if we Americans are in bondage too.
