Welcome to Mandy and Michele…

Just Holding it Together

Mandy Farmer and Michele Bruxvoort have brought their talents together! In today’s world, it seems we all need someone to lean on now and again. Trials and struggles come at us from left and right. And we need to hold each other up to make it through.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 & 10 says Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

That is why we, Mandy and Michele, have decided to join together to hold each other up, and at the same time, we hope that you are lifted up as well. We plan to write not only devotionals and book reviews but crafty stuff, health stuff, and some other things we come across as we travel this earth below but always looking to Jesus!

We hope you will come along with us! We would love for you to sign up for the bi-monthly newsletter (blue strip below) that will keep you posted on anything new on the blog. You can also choose to opt-in for push notifications.(above)

INTRODUCTIONS

Mandy Farmer

Mandy Farmer
Mandy Farmer

Mandy, a Christian freelance writer and children’s author, desires to support you in whatever storm you are facing. She has “Been there done that”, like the insurance, “We know a lot because we’ve seen a lot”. Mandy married a widowed pastor with two pre-teen boys. She became their mom and then they added another son and daughter to the mix—a 21st Century kind of family.

Mandy was raised on a dairy farm in Ohio and later in Wisconsin. Her love of farm life has led to children’s books on the topic. See her children’s books at The Farmer’s Place.

She has a bachelor’s degree from Asbury University in Kentucky and served as a children’s minister for 25 years followed by serving as a women’s minister for 5+ years.

In 2011, Chronic Pain became her constant companion, leading to job loss for her and her husband. This led to home and financial loss. But God is faithful and has brought them through these storms. She and her husband now live in Savannah, GA near 3 of their 4 adult children and one grandson.

Mandy would like to come alongside you to encourage you, help you, and uphold you. (Deuteronomy 31:6) Her heart’s desire is to encourage women no matter what challenges they may be facing. Mandy loves singing, playing the piano, and crafting. She is presently working on a devotional for chronic pain warriors.
