FMF: Table

I am glad to have a seat at God’s table every day. No matter my skin color, my economic status, or physical condition- I am seated at his table daily.

I don’t do anything that deserves such esteem, only that He loves me so simply, so outlandishly and that I have, by grace accepted such a gift of love.

Sitting at his table means that I am accepted. I am cherished and seen as valuable. He lavishes me with a feast beyond comprehension and I daily stand amazed at his blessings upon me.

I look forward to the day when I am seated at his table with the rest of my fellow believers and we feast and rejoice. We celebrate a time of no more struggle, sorrow, and shame.

His table has the best seating and view and we are all invited to come and enjoy the best of what eternity has.

  1. We’re invited to rejoice and laugh
    with our co-believers,
but I think I’m better off
    with Labrador retrievers.
Let us now to God give praise
    by running ’till we’re dizzy,
    and celebrate the many ways
we have to catch a Frisbee.
We’ll find the magic Water Bowl
is always full (now ain’t that funny?)
and just smile when some human howls,
    “You’re drinking from the DUNNY????”
I know the Lord our souls will keep
if we turn three times before we sleep.

  2. “His table has the best seating and view and we are all invited to come and enjoy the best of what eternity has.” … and oh ‘cherished…’ … so many lines here that make our lives as Gods family worth every moment. Thankyou for such a perfect image of His heart.
